“For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare.”
Philippians 2:20
These words epitomize the spirit of thankfulness by our foundation to you for your sensitivity and generous heart of giving to support the work of the Baptist Medical Center in Paraguay. Your gift holds an important key to their future, because there is “no one else” to assist with their financial needs. Your donation makes an essential difference in their ability to respond to the present and prepare for the future.
Regarding the “present”, this medical ministry has once again been used by Our Lord in a powerful way to provide a heart transplant for a 26 year old man who had no other hope for his life. God uses the Baptist Medical Center daily to intervene with both common and miraculous medical procedures, oftentimes completely underwriting the cost – not many places on this planet do such compassion and professional capabilities intertwine!
Their intense commitment to Our Lord not only enables their leadership and staff to respond effectively to daily challenges for the hundreds of patients who enter their doors, but also gives them confidence to plan for their future and realize the potential that God seeks to accomplish through them.
A Master Plan conceived this year projects dramatic changes in facilities and services which will multiply their effective use of limited space and enhance the comprehensive array of services provided.
I wish it was possible to transport you to see firsthand the compassionate “everyday” care they give, permeated with such strong spiritual purpose and mature leadership. Every time we visit Paraguay “amazement” is my sincere reaction to describe the advances and the commitment I see as they continue to march forward “on their own” with only our foundation reaching out a hand to help.
As we conclude 2010 and our foundation begins a new decade we thank you profoundly and profusely for your sensitivity and generosity to this magnificent ministry in Paraguay. We covet your continued interest and commitment as a witness and partner to see the great things God has in store for the Baptist Medical Center in Paraguay and to be a part in bringing it to fruition.
If this is your first “visit” to our website and you are not familiar with the Paraguay Baptist Medical Center legacy of ministry we invite you to read about the history, testimony, and future plans of this powerful work of the Lord in South America. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us. Our sole purpose is to assist the Centro Médico Bautista in Paraguay and make a difference for Christ in thousands of lives through their remarkable ministry.

SUPPORT
If you would like to support PBMCF and CMB and its ministry you may do so three ways. 1. Pray – please. That is by far the greatest thing anyone can do for Centro Médico Bautista. Make it a daily prayer; get your family and friends to join you. Our brothers and sisters in Christ in Paraguay need our prayers, the administration and staff of the hospital need our prayers, the medical and nursing staff need our prayers. Pray for the churches, the missions, and the program of the hospital. 2. Volunteers – we need ambassadors for our foundation, people willing to tell others about the medical center and its ministries. It’s the only hospital in the entire country that will take anyone at any time under any condition. The hospital is a haven for thousands, a lighthouse in a dark world. In addition, share the needs of the Foundation and Medical Center. Every two years we need volunteers willing to go on one of its medical mission trips for 10 days – willing to give their time to help patients and their families in a time of need, willing to help those who have no glasses to be able to see their family, read to their children, or see their grandchildren for the first time. Volunteers are always needed. 3. Support PBMCF – the Foundation is the only support CMB receives. When donors contribute to the PBMCF, they are contributing to the Medical Center and its ministries. The Family Community Center cares for thousands of outpatients each year. Even if a patient cannot pay, medicine is given – no one is turned down. A check made payable to PBMCF and sent to our postal receiving address will be acknowledged by the President of the Foundation, and an annual tax report is sent out January of the following year. 3 Ways to Help: Thank you for considering anyone or all three ways to support this ministry. Thank you and God Bless you in a very special way for considering this. Al Hethcock Executive Director Pray -- Volunteer -- Contribute |
